Babar was made the captain of the T20 squad in 2019 and has performed well as a captain and also his batting gets even more improved. He made his T20 captaincy debut against Australia in a 3 match series. Which at the end Pakistan loses 2-0.

After the ICC World Cup 2019, Sarfraz Ahmed was sacked as captain in White-ball cricket. Now a few months ago Babar was also made the ODI captain.

Pak V Zim series was the first assignment for Babar Azam as Pak captain in ODI. Which eventually Pakistan won the series 2-1.

More importantly, after becoming captain Babar’s own performance has got a huge lift.

Pakistan Captain in Test

After the poor performance of Azhar Ali as a captain PCB decides to take the role from him and gave him to the best Pakistani batsmen right now.

Considering Azhar Ali’s performance in the recently concluded Pak V Eng test series made PCB take this step and give the captaincy to Babar Azam.

Pakistan team needs good captaincy in Test cricket because they are lacking behind good quality teams more because of captaincy decisions.

We all hope and wish that Babar Azam will become a successful captain and take Pak cricket to new heights.
