Haris Rauf bowling performance has recently bowled exceptionally well in the recently concluded Big Bash League. He had picked up 16 wickets in 7 matches including a hat-trick. But his performance in the Pak Vs Eng series is ordinary.
Just because of this performance of Haris he was picked up for Pakistan T20 Squad. He made his debut in January 2020 against Bangladesh in a home series. Where he failed to impress because of the pitch conditions.
In this year’s PSL 2020, he didn’t get much chance due to his injury. But a lot of people were hoping that he will perform well in the English conditions.
Haris played both the matches in the Pak Vs Eng T20 series and didn’t even manage to pick up a single wicket.
Haris Rauf bowling performance after the BBL was just below the par. He was just looking like an ordinary bowler. Despite having a good pace he didn’t even trouble the English batsmen.
His line and length are a major worry for the Pakistan team because either he bowls too short or too full. If someone is bowling this kind of lengths with a pace of 140+kph than there is no other option than to get hammered to the boundary.
No doubt that Haris Rauf is an excellent bowler and also he has shown the world through his performance in BBL. But now he just needs to bowl in good areas. And also needs to bowl a few slow bowls also.
To succeed in on a balter of a pitch T20 cricket than you need to have variations. You just can’t bowl every bowl at 140 kph, by doing this you will become predictable and it will be easier for the batsmen to pick you.
Haris Rauf bowling needs to get better if Pakistan wants to gain the NO.1 spot in T20 cricket again. He will improve day by day and surely will be a great prospect for Pakistan in the future.
