Pakistan Cricket Records In International Stage

Pakistan made its debut in international cricket in 1952. Since then a huge number of Pakistan cricket records were made. They have dominated and have become one of the successful teams in the world.

Pakistan played their first test match in 1952 against India in a 5 match series. India won the series 2-1. But it takes only 1 match for Pakistan to register their first test win. They won the 2nd test match against India.

Pakistan Cricket Records In Test :

Overall in the Test, Pakistan has played 432 matches in total, won 138, and lost 132 matches while 162 were drawn. Overall Pakistan cricket record in test matches is good with a win % of 31.94.

Pakistan registered their first away test match win against India in 1952 and their first away series win against India and England in 1987.

They registered their first home test and a series win against Australia in 1956. Pakistan Cricket records in test matches are quick phenomenal.

Pakistan scored their highest innings total of 765/6d against Srilanka on 21 Feb 2009. This is the fifth-highest score in Test match history. They also have scored 600+ runs thrice against India and 708 against England.

Oppositely, West Indies is the team who have scored highest total of 790/3d on 26 Feb 1958. Those were the early days for Pakistan in Test cricket.

Pakistan lowest test total is 49 against South Africa on 1 Feb 2013.

Pakistan Cricket Records In ODI :

They played their first-ever ODI match in 1973 against New Zealand. Pakistan won their first match and series in ODI history against England in England.

Overall, Pakistan has played 930 ODI matches and out of 930 they have won 488 and lost 413. While 9 matches were tied and 20 matches ended in no result.

Pakistan won their first home series against India in 1978.

Pakistan cricket records in ODI are also very good as their overall win % in ODI is 54.

The highest score of Pakistan in ODI is 399/1 against Zimbabwe on 20 July 2018. In this Fakhar Zaman became the first Pakistani batsmen to score a double hundred in an ODI match.

The lowest score for Pakistan in ODI is 43 against West Indies on 25 Feb 1993.

The greatest win margin for Pakistan by runs is 255 against Ireland on 18 Aug 2016. And greatest win margin by wickets, 10 wickets win over New Zealand, Bangladesh, West Indies, and Zimbabwe.

Pakistan Cricket Records In T20i :

Pakistan played their first-ever T20i match against England in 2006 and won that match by 5 wickets.

Till now, Pakistan have played 160 T20i matches and have won 90 of them and lost only 58.

It is quite strange that Pakistan hasn’t played a T20i series against their Arch-Rivals India. Although Pakistan cricket records against India in T20i is not good.

Highest score for Pakistan in T20i is of 205/3 against West Indies on 2nd April 2018. Also their lowest score is 74 against Australia in 2012.

It is also quite surprising that only Ahmed Shahzad has scored a T20i hundred for Pakistan till now.

Pakistan has ruled the T20i format and was No 1 for 824 days straight. No other team has done that before. Also the highest rating for any team in T20i is 286 of Pakistan.

Pakistan team win % in T20i is very terrific of 62.4%.

Pakistan Cricket Records In World Cup :

Pakistan won ICC ODI World Cup in 1992 and ICC T20 World Cup in 2009. Recently Pakistan also won the ICC Champions trophy in 2017 and become one of five teams to win all ICC Trophies.

Wasim Akram holds the record for most number of wickets for Pakistan in World Cups with 55 wickets.

On the otherside, Javed Miandad has scored most runs (1083) for Pakistan in World Cups.
