This match between Pakistan and West Indies is part of the Total International Series 1993. It was the 9th match of the series and was played in Cape Town, South Africa.
West Indies fielded first and gave Pakistan a chance to score some big runs but Pakistan batsmen failed miserably one after another. Due to poor display of batting, Pakistan lowest score in ODI was achieved in this match.
Pakistan only scored 43 runs in 20/50 overs. Zahid Fazal was the highest scorer for Pakistan with 21 runs. Six Pakistan batsmen went to the pavilion without opening their account.

Pakistan’s batting lineup was not that bad, it includes some big names like Saeed Anwar, Rashid Latif, Saleem Malik, and Ramiz Raja. But even with that names, Pakistan scored their lowest score in ODI.
After setting a target of 44 runs it was nearly impossible for any bowling lineup to depend this target. West Indies achieved the target in the 13th over with 7 wickets in hand. Wasim and Waqar picked by 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
Wasim Akram was the captain of this side and surely it was the most humiliating match of his career. And also for Pakistan, it is the most humiliating match in Pakistan ODI history.
Till date, 43 runs against West Indies in 1993 was the Pakistan lowest score in ODI.
