Pakistan versus New Zealand tour is looking in trouble as the NZ health authorities didn’t even allow the healthy Pakistani players to train despite completing their isolation period.
Previously seven Pakistani players were affected by the ongoing virus but the rest of the 45 members have cleared their tests and are healthy.
New Zealand cricket board and their government hasn’t given any permission to Pakistani team to start their training for the upcoming T20i series.
Seeing this type of behavior PCB has decided to consult with the head coach and captain of the Pakistan cricket team that if they are comfortable there and want to continue the tour.
Head coach Misbah-ul-Haq and captain Babar Azam will consult with the whole team about the on-going situation on the tour and report the discussion to PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani.
The future of Pakistan versus New Zealand tour is in the hands of the players whether they want to continue or return back.
PCB CEO Wasim Khan expressed his disappointment over New Zealand authorities not allowing Pakistani players to practice. He also had discussed this matter with his counterparts in New Zealand.
Wasim Khan has also discussed the whole matter with the head coach and the captain, both are looking in good spirit and want to finish the tour.
Pakistan versus New Zealand T20 series will commence from 18th Dec 2020.
