The third highest partnership was between KL Rahul and Agarwal of 183 runs. Between Kings XI and Rajastan Royals. Agarwal scored a hundred while KL Rahul managed to score 69. Despite scoring 183 runs for the 1st wicket Kings XI lost the match.

The second highest partnership was recorded in match 3 of IPL 2017 between Gautam Ghambir and Chris Lynn of 184* runs. This match was played between KKR and Gujrat Lions. Gambhir and Lynn scored 76 and 93 respectively. KKR won the match by 10 wickets.

The highest opening partnership in IPL till yet is between Bairstow and David Warner of 185 runs. Sunrisers was playing RCB in this match in IPL 2019. Jonny Bairstow and David Warner both scored a ton and in result Sunrisers won the match by 118 runs.
